this is great and its swings ,
i grow up with this music ,in the late sixties, and i love it how people make this sound.

  2. mtlinknfl says:

are you stupid, he invented the solid body guitar, look it up on the internet

  3. CodyMaverickChannel says:

this is true my brother keeps saying this kind of music sucks and he even said les paul sucks that isnt true!his music sucks.he listens to that rap,and it anit real music either dont rate my comment down this is true because les paul is always immortal with his music and he always will be

  4. journeyquest1 says:

Im sorry, i should have said solid body electric guitar. Gibson had some amplified acoustic guitars prior to the Rickenbacher frying pan. But no, Les Paul didnt invent the electric guitar.

  5. journeyquest1 says:

I think it was Rickenbacher that invented the electric guitar. Les Paul improved it.

  6. WellDressedDiva says:

It’s a bummer they divorced later on … ended their duo talent. But Les lives on!

  7. ScageyGuitarist says:

It’s almost sad that he doesn’t get celebrated as the inspiration he really is… He was doing insane picking, legato, hammer-ons, even sweeping (and other songs, with Chet Atkins: tapping :O…), long before any of the big shredders,,, and what I love about Les? He does it clean :D

  8. Souly26 says:

haha how nice is the dog in the background??

  9. Rossco602 says:

this guy INVENTED the electric guitar you fucking son of a bitch

  10. grayson340910 says:

he doesnt get enough credit as a player. he rocked

  11. pubbb69 says:

    damn sweeps pickings

  12. dorastandpipe says:

I second your sentiment then Glockenator…Riff in Peace, Les.

  13. airdancr1 says:

You’ve gotta admit though, some people DID come close. Look up Danny Gatton and Jimmy Bryant. You won’t be sorry.

  14. tubbythug92 says:

Les Paul had a great life.

  15. shredheadbob says:

WTF!!!!!!! that was amazing and cheesy at the same time!!!!!!!!

  16. GDmetallica7 says:

he is amazing which is why i chose him for my biography report

  17. Glockenator says:

Shit. the t was a mistake, it was supposed to be an f

  18. dorastandpipe says:

But rift makes no sense since it means fissure or crack. Rest is what you usually say, but riff is what you do on a guitar. Not trying to insult you, I just was not sure which way you were going.

  19. moyatakotka says:

    ABSOLUTELY SUPERB!!!!!

  20. mrblindfreddy9999 says:

in the 50′s before tv and computers these two gave me goosebumps they made those guitars talk

  21. Glockenator says:

I’m not trying to be anything. I simply posted that because he’s an awesome guitarist

  22. dorastandpipe says:

Rift in peace? I think you mean Rest or possibly Riff if you are trying to be cute.

  23. 90zosoman09 says:

well he has the string around his index finger cause it’s part of tht thing at the beginning. “I tied a string around my finger to remind me to tell you something but I forgot.” Thats basically why.

  24. IceChain says:

Tying a string around your finger served as a reminder for something. Later in the day, for instance, you’d go, “Why do I have a string on my finger?” and then you’d remember what it was for.

  25. 61SG says:

Les’s contributions are immeasurable. How could you not want to pick up a guitar after watching him?
If you notice on this clip, he has a string tied around his left index finger. Anyone know why?
