Even as the typical German sedan has become a beast with swollen fenders and a massive grille, designed to bludgeon the meek out of the fast lane on the autobahn, the 2008 Audi S5 has a different look. Its curving contours are leaner, more expressive and more energetic.
@Gboy722 Ah, but I’d have to say the R8 holds “best looking” title…..although I honestly can’t think of any new Audi as less than gorgeous.
@proteanview They will, give it time. People never gave VW much thought either, myself included, but they’re hittin consumers like a brick lately and intending to overtake Toyota as world’s largest automaker and at the rate they’re going, it seems entirely possible. As soon as people realize just how amazing Audis are, they won’t forget.
@Raptorider338 very hard decision. I love the spirit of BMW, it’s inline 6. If you appreciate BMWs, you will definitely be more happy with it.
im planning to get? a s5 for this sept. can someone give me some help. I am wondering if i should get the v8 2010 or shud i just get the the 2011 v6T, my friend told me that the V6T has DSG which helps with shifting gears faster using the paddle shift. Any suggestions?

Love this car. However, Audi will never achieve significant commercial success in The States without investing serious money into product placement and marketing in general.
Audi doesn’t dawn on a lot of folks who might otherwise prefer an Audi over the ubiquitous Merc or BMW.
Cadillac completely revamped its image (from old folks & pimps to 30/40-something professionals) over a few years. Audi should likewise invest in a broad marketing campaign. Shame to see such great autos go unnoticed.

Why are your reviews so boring?
Right now we got 3 versions of the A5/S5 in Europe. S5 Coup, S5 Convertible and the S5 Sportback. Unfortunately the S5Convertible / Sportback got a 3l 6 cylinder supercharged engine. So watch out If you guys want to buy one of those. Convertible/Sportback don’t come with 8 cylinder sound, even though the 3.0 TFSI is a great engine too.
